Clinical Nurses

Medical Oncology Nurses draw on their knowledge of different cancers and their experience in other areas of care to treat symptoms of the disease and side effects of treatment. The Medical Oncology nurses of Exeter Hospital are certified in the administration of chemotherapy. In addition, all eligible nurses in the Center for Cancer Care have also received specialized certification (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Society.

Oncology Nurse Educators

A diagnosis of cancer raises many questions. Our master's prepared nurse educator coordinates patient education within the center, maintains a library, and conducts group and public educational sessions on cancer related topics.

Medical Technologist

The Medical Oncology Laboratory, staffed by certified medical technologists, processes lab tests on site. This allows physicians to receive patient test results in optimal time, thus expediting the chemotherapy treatment process.

Medical Assistants

Medical Assistants perform an integral role in the medical oncology clinic. They help to improve the flow through the clinic by assisting in the lab with phlebotomy, assisting the nurses with assessments and the physicians with procedures.
