Nutrition Consultation Services at Equinox

A nutrition consultation involves an in-depth review of your health history, previous dietary strategies and current food intake. The goal is to uncover potential nutrient imbalances and/or food sensitivities to support you in attaining optimal health.

A personalized diet plan is developed based on your nutritional and health needs, personal goals, and lifestyle. It is designed to include nutrients that may be deficient in your diet and that are medicinal in treating certain health conditions. It may also exclude foods that are suspect of causing digestive problems, headaches, joint pain, eczema, sleep disturbance or other symptoms. When warranted, supplements and other therapies are used to support and maximize your work towards changing your diet.

Our weight loss program involves a similar investigation with a look at behavioral and cultural aspects of weight gain. Your plan will include strategies to overcome previous obstacles, an exercise plan and other resources to facilitate mind and body connection.

A nutrition consultation should be considered if you are interested in changing the way you eat to maximize your health or to address certain health concerns, such as:

Weight issues
Hypoglycemia or unexplained sugar cravings
Food allergies or sensitivities
Irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion, GERD
Elevated cholesterol, heart disease prevention or hypertension
Arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, or migraines
Pre-menstrual syndrome, anemia, infertility, or menopausal changes
Wellness during and after pregnancy
Osteoporosis and breast cancer prevention
