You can beat meeting fatigue by:
- Offering your participants water to keep the brain active; dehydration can dimish mental capacity
- Offer breakfast or a snack for morning meetings. People who eat a well balance meal perform complex mental tasks better than those who don't eat in the morning
- Keep participants active; exercise alleviates stress and clears the mind
Three Keys to Planning a Successful Meeting Whether you are coordinating the food or the physical aspects of the meeting, keep in mind these simple solutions:
- Variety - Offer a variety of food and movement in the meeting to cut down on repetition and boredom.
- Balance
Food - Offer more healthy choices and limit less healthy choices. Physical Activity - Encourage people to be more active; for example, use the stairs instead of the elevator.
3. Moderation - While you don't have to give up your favorite foods, you can ajdust how much is served and how often.
Eating healthy and being active help people feel energetic and alert. Having energized participants can improve the overall quality of your meeting.
