
Join our experts and learn how exercise and other lifestyle changes can help control blood sugar. As an active participant in this fitness class, you will learn how to exercise safely with blood sugar monitoring.
This exercise program targets those with a diagnosis of diabetes who are seeking assistance with effective disease management. The program also includes diabetes education, which is provided during the professionally monitored exercise sessions.
The program meets three times a week for four weeks. At the end of the program participants may continue a fitness or exercise program through Exeter Hospital's Cardiac Wellness program, a health club membership, or development of a home program.
Cost to attend the four week program is $75. Individuals requiring more intense counseling will be referred to a certified diabetes educator or the group education program.
