Drug abuse is a widespread problem. No one is safe from the risk of drug abuse. Drug abuse affects the entire family as well as friends and colleagues.


Local resources may include:

  • healthcare providers and hospitals
  • drug and alcohol treatment centers
  • hotlines and
  • employee and student assistance programs.

Information and help is available from 12-step programs such as Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous. Phone numbers for these organizations can be located in most city phone books.
