Some cancers have no signs or symptoms in the very early stage. Early symptoms may not seem like anything serious. Learning what to look for can lead to early detection. Early detection of a cancer greatly increases the chances of curing cancer.
The American Cancer Society has identified 7 major warning signs of cancer:
You should have a medical examination soon if you have any of these warning signs. Having one of these warning signs does not mean you are sure to have cancer.
There are more warning signs for other kinds of cancer. They are not as common as those listed above.
